We did not book an excursion through the ship. We used a guide that was at the port who took us around the island to include a visit to Blue Hole which was beautiful fresh water swimming. We were dropped off in town where we walked around and had lunch at a great local restaurant. There is small WWII museum. The ladies at the museum were knowledgeable and kind. We took a taxi back to the ship. There is absolutely nothing at this port. You must do an excursion or take a taxi or tour to town. There was a very small area with a few local vendors but nothing else, just a parking area. Everyone we encountered were friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful place but DO NOT pay for tours untill you return to the bay we got stranded up at the blue lagoon and had to pay a second time to get back to the bay. The guy doing the trip was awful just stopped for a few seconds and pointed out a non working coconut oil shed etc ride was in the back of a ute sitting on a piece of timber and was uncomfortable to say the least so check the car etc beforw you agree to go with someone. Cost $7.00 to get into the lagoon and i think is was $5 per person to get a ride there so i was left wondering if say less then half the ship did this and paid for a picture $2 etc so they would get roughly $10 a person very conservative estimate and they get 1 ship a week again conservatively they are getting $10,000 a week why are they living in grass huts etc ?
