Nice area. Weather better. Shore excursions had to assemble and wait in Stardust Theater. One hour lost from each day waiting.

Because of the size of the Silver Shadow , she was able to berth at the ferry wharf , allowing easy access to town without relying on a shuttle although that was supplied .

Queen Charlotte Sound is very beautiful but there’s not much in Picton itself on a wet day.

Wonderful to see how living on an island is possible with boat access as there was no road access. Fascinating to see how Paua pearls are cultivated and grown. Best excursion
