We did the penguins excursion, but at half the price of NCL option.

We did the Princess version of the Valdez Peninsula. If you do this hire a private guide or a smaller group. The stops were all 15 minutes or less which is not a lot of time when you have 4 or 5 large busses dumping off people at the same time. You can see a lot of wildlife especially guanacos from the bus.

We spent the day in town in a loxal bar with wifi not much in the town to see.

We did not take a tour here because we've seen penquins, sea lions, and the sheep shearing didn't interest us. We just walked ashore, did a little shopping and then sat on the dock for a while and watched trash being taking off the ship and fresh vegetables loaded on the ship. Quite an operation to run a cruise line!

heard the peninsula was great but you must go all the way around in order to see anything. Otherwise, not worth the travel.

It was a pleasant enough port, we took the Peninsula Valdez excursion which was too long and uncomfortable due to the unmade roads. Limited wildlife to see due to the time of year.
