Port area isn't much, you need to get a ride or excursion to do anything. I stayed in the city a couple of nights before the cruise so I didn't do any excursions here.

Buenos Aires is a very nice city, easy to get around on foot or by Uber. Puerto Madero is a particularly nice area. Upon our disembarkation, we took a major (17 hour) shore excursion to the Iguazu Falls. It started early in the morning and ended late at night but it was worth it! We were well looked after by a guide who stayed with us the whole time. We had a plane charted just for the cruise group, which took us to and from the falls. We were also provided a nice buffet lunch between the two walking trails. It was a tiring day, but the falls truly are spectacular! We felt very well looked after by NCL, the guide looked after us right to our hotel, and the next day we had a transfer already arranged to take us to the airport, with our own personal guide who wouldn't let us go until we'd checked in for our flight!

Loved Buenos Aires. We saw the city, learned a bit about the history and went to the Gala Tango - which was an absolute highlight of the tour. Amazingly talented dancers and musicians. I didn't realize before this visit that Tango is not just a dance in Argentine. It's a culture.

Alot to see, I spent 2 days after the cruise there. Hop on Hop Off bus tour and lots of walking. I even towed my luggage from the Cruise Terminal to my Expedia Hotel called Palacio Paz Hotel located about 1.3 miles a bit uphill.
