We took the Panama Canal experience by boat which took us through the old original locks. Different experience and very informative!

We did the US Heritage tour. We learned more about the locks. Our family took the train tour. They were disappointed they thought they would see animals. They saw 1 sloth.

Walked around the port area. Had a nice time walking to the two islas. Ship was decked quite aways from town.

On this stop, I took the excursion that included a train ride to the east/north, and a returning bus ride. This was a quite good addition to the actual canal crossing as it added perspective to the canal experience with the chance to see the lock operations from outside the canal. A long day, but well worth it for me.
