Boring but nice…

Our tour guide was young, but knowledgeable. We also benefitted from listening to some of the other tour guides at the museum.

Good bus/railroad tour of locks and history.

The busses were all lined up, we thought they were taking us to Panama City but no. We went 1/4 mile to a shopping plaza where we could find a taxi. We stayed on the bus and went back to the Haven for lunch.

The new dock they built for this ship was nice. The shopping area they built was very nice as well. We did a zip line excursion (through the ship) and it was a 45 minute drive through the outskirts of the city which was nice. The negative on the excursion was that they booked too many people on it. (35) We spent most of the time waiting in line to zip. Because there were so many people, we were an hour later getting back. We were going to go into town but decided against it since we were supposed to depart in less than 3 hours. About an hour after we got back they announced that we were going to sail later and could now stay out until 11:30. By then we'd already chilled out. This port was very chaotic as the length of our stay changed three times!

We took a tour of Old Panama City! This also was also very lovely tour. Our guide was great and we ended with a wonderful, large lunch of lots of typical Panama style foods! Delicious! Booked with NCL and I would recommend it!

Excellent experience going through the canal

Our ship was able to dock at the pier but it looks like the city is building a huge, new cruise terminal which is not open yet. Because of the construction, passengers were not permitted to walk through the terminal but were provided a complimentary shuttle bus ride to the area of shops & restaurants, about a mile away from the ship. Since it was Sunday morning, many of the shops (and all the restaurants) were closed as the majority of the people are Catholics. My wife got a few souvenir bracelets. We did not do any excursions at this port.

Very limited unless you take a ferry or cab to the city
