The weather was beautiful, the scenery gorgeous and the running commentary on the history of Panama and the Canal was fascinating. After clearing the locks to the Pacific Ocean we had to wait 5 hours for the tide to go out so we could clear the Bridge of the Americas. We went up top to see we cleared the bridge by only a few feet.

Great experience to watch the ship go through the locks st the canal and travel from the Pacific ocean into the Atlantic ocean. This was the highlight of my cruise.

There wasn't much to see during the actual transit. Although, being in the locks and seeing how they worked with the ship being raised up 85 feet was very interesting. There was someone from Panama City on board who was explaining how the locks worked and would explain what we were seeing along the way. He was very informative.

It was great going through the new canal. The narration throughout the day was good too. The major problem is finding a place at the front and back of the ship if you want to watch the locks open and close.

This was my bucket list reason for booking this cruise. I stayed on the ship's deck for the entire day and watched the entire transit thru the locks and Lake Gatun.

Amazing that it was ever built. Would have loved more info on ship about the building of canal before passage. I read "a Path Between two Seas" before leaving. Would liked to see those facts shared.

Spent all morning at the very front of the ship and took lots of photos, a bucket list sightseeing opportunity, amazing, Highly recommend seeing the full Panama Canal transit from the Pacific to Atlantic (or from reverse)
