Boring

We did a full day 9supposed to be 8 hour) transit of the canal. However, excursion took an additional 2.5 hours due to waiting times in the locks. We were on a ferry, which was not especially comfortable. Would not recommend this excursion.

The Canal is fascinating to travel through. Highly recommend going to the Agua Clara locks.

Did not do an excursion. Very impressed to watch how the canal function and surprised to see only few people required to work on site at the dock .

You can take an excursion or just stay on board to experience the locks. Over the years we have taken all of the excellent shore excursions and to us the best experience is just staying on board. The Canal is the #1 man made wonder of the world and it’s a thrill to experience it.

We really enjoyed the time through the lock and found it very interesting. Someone behind me said it was boring clearly not a cruise for her! We chose to stay on the ship for the duration, there were trips offered but we wanted to experience the locks. We felt it was a good choice.

Our excursion showed the new Agua Clara Locks so that was good to see the comparison.

We really enjoyed the commentary by Chris Roberts as we went through the canal. He was very informative.
