Cruise Gatun Lake (Inside Panama Canal) Port Reviews

We took the excursion to the Pacific side of the canal. The stop at Miraflores lock doesn't add much to what we saw a Gatun lock, but highly recommend the tour of Panama City and the old center is wonderful. If re-designing the tour would send less time at MIraflores and emphasize the old town.

no excursions available but the cruising is pleasant

We took the Ferry excursion through to the Pacific - went through all the locks, even had 2 sailboats rafted up to our ferry (right below our veranda) through two of the locks. Highly recommend this tour!!

The ship did not “cruise Gatineau Lake.” We went through the locks into the lake, dropped the tenders to take shore excursion passengers ashore, reloaded the tenders and then held our position for a while and went back through the locks.

You must take the excursion where you get off your ship and get on a smaller tour boat which takes you through the gorge and through the pacific locks as well, then a bus brings you back to your ship. And amazing experience to see the entire canal system and actually touch the lock walls on the pacific side on the small boat!
