Yokohama (Tokyo), Japan Port Reviews

We only explored the Haneda Airport and met with a Japanese friend for several hours there.

Chinatown was nice to walk through but it's basically empty until 10 or 11.

We took the train in to Tokyo from Yokohama. Short walk and super easy to get where you need to go.

We stayed in Tokyo for a total of ten days after the cruise. Lots to do and the weather was good, although prices are up sharply from last year on just about everything.

Overnight visit. Long all-day tour to Tokyo. Hot 92 F so it was not a comfortable day. Stops at Shinto Shrine were too long. Lots of waiting to get back on air conditioned bus. The Tokyo Tower that looks like the Eiffel Tower was surrounded by tall buildings and the bus did not really get close. The bus did not really get close to the Emperor's Palace and being so hot and at the end of a long day it was not an enjoyable stop. Did learn that Nissan is based in Yokohama.

We began here so had a couple of days on our own prior to sailing. We found it a confusing city.

This is where we got off the ship and waited two hours in a long taxi line in the hot sun. The city is great and China town in Yokohama is amazing. We stayed at a hotel here and trained into Tokyo and to Mt Fugi. Great trip

We arrived 5 days before the cruise started to sightsee Tokyo, Nara, Kamakura and Kyoto. There were too many places we wanted to see and not enough time.

We stayed in Tokyo several days before hand. Yokohama was a nice cruise terminal. Everyone was very friendly. The lines were easy to get through. Porters were right there to take your bags. It was very easy and pain-free.
