A long and bumpy bus ride from cruise port. Boat ride through scenic karst formations and small islands is worthwhile. Visit to “floating” village, with its homes, schools, and mosque was too rushed. If you also visit Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, you don’t need to visit here.

Don't suggest doing the excursion "Phuket: on your own". The bus dropped us at a popular "shopping centre" which didn't open for 30minutes after we got there. People stranded in the street, not a problem for my party but passengers less travel active it was added stress which is what a booked excursion should avoid. We then only had 3 hours for the day.
