This lovely island needs more time there. The Ancient Wines tour was a new offering and I highly recommend Norwegian keep this tour. I wish we would have had more time to perhaps see downtown. As it was, all of us crowded into the duty-free shop (the line was out the shop!) and the poor owner was overwhelmed. We just made the 2:30 departure time.

We did a visiting to the church of the Holy cross. It was a beautiful little village and quite nice to visit. The church contains a relic from the original cross where Jesus died. There is also bones and relics from some of the apostles here. This church is beautiful. We enjoyed a cup of coffee and a piece of pie here in the village. It was a short day which was nice because we needed to rest. I have to say we are blessed to live where we do because all these churches we visit are fairly new backseats they were destroyed throughout history by extremist. We live where we hold our churches with respect.

Very interesting, I loved having the opportunity to go across the green line and the best part was the two journalists. Great conversation, learned so much. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job.

No excursion. Fairly easy to get around the city.

We took the Nicosia and Choirkoitia excursion since we had to miss Jerusalem due to the new war and had been at sea already for 2 days. I don’t think the tour was worth $159 each but it was better than staying in Limassol. Our bus took us to the neolithic site of old round rock huts at Choirkoitia. Lots of steps upward and walking, lots of rocks piled around but you could kind of tell how it used to be a village. Then we rode an hour in to Nicosia. I guess half of it is Greek and the other half is Turkish. Our guide showed us a monument called Liberty Square and then let us out to walk the old town. It was nice. Another beautiful Orthodox Church with a mean man inside, yelling at anyone who took out their phone or a camera. And the archbishop’s palace, to look at. Otherwise lots of shops and restaurants, and that was about it. Our guide was daring in setting the bus load of us loose, and then expecting us to know how to find our way back to the bus, IMO. About 8 of us were late because we had all gotten turned around, separately but eventually found our way back.

Cyprus was our least favorite port. It feels like a country divided.

Organise something beforehand as town and beach are just average

Nice port. Yes, we did an excursion but it was mostly panoramic with only a couple of stops for photos.

This is the only port we had a truly awful guide. We went to Nicosia which was interesting, but the guide was useless.

We went to Paphos and it was interesting but a long bus trip. I would pick a different excursion next time.
