A lot of people standing outside the dock trying to get you to buy things and taxi drivers. We paid $40 AUD for 3 people for the whole day. We were taken to senggigi resort area, had a nice meal and then cheap massages which were really good. Overall very nice day.

Not much to see this place. Taxi is expensive. Driver try to charge you a lot.

Interesting island. Got to see lots of rice terraces. Visited a beach and had a nice lunch. Really not that much to do and see here.

This was a sad, depressing place. We took the ship tour ‘Mataram Highlights’.. but there were very few highlights.

Pre arranged a taxi to take us down to Selong Belanak beach, about an hour from port. Used Sudin Transport and they were waiting promptly with a sign. Could probably have got slightly cheaper if I had wanted to run the gauntlet with the thousands of taxi drivers waiting there. There fare was $65 for the day, which we split with another couple, NCL was charging over $100 for their beach break! He dropped us at Laut Biru bar, we used them for alcoholic drinks and toilets and got sun beds a little further up beach for about $5. Lovely, relaxing and clean beach, waves to rough for swim that day, sadly. Need local currency here. Plenty of stalls at ports for souvenir but barter hard.
