Nothing to see within walking distance from port but we managed to get a local taxi outside port entrance at 300 bhat to nearby harbour mall shopping centre which is 10min drive. Shuttle services to Bangkok and Pattaya are available but are not cheap.

Laem Chabang is such a long way from anywhere but we took an excursion to see the Tigers & they did not disappoint. Also saw elephant & crocodile shows. Didn't like the traffic

Took a tour to the Royal Barge Museum and along the river. Excellent day in Bagkok.

We caught the shuttle bus to Pattaya instead of going into Bangkok for the day, and we had a great time at the bus terminus, the Bayview Hotel, and then at a nearby shopping mall.

The two hour bus trip in to the city from the port and then back again is something to consider Sight seeing was amazing to see the culture and the temples But it can be very crowded at the more popular place

Sadly, the port of Laem Chagang is too far away from Bangkok to make this a viable trip.

Fun to see if it is your first visit but be prepared for spending as much time on the bus as in Bangkok.
