Took the eco excursion and generally enjoyed it.

Small but with lovely beach, bars and restaurants and tropical palm setting.

HOT HOT HOT My new favorite place. I think I want to winter here. 7k residents, clean, warm and inexpensive. We did a Viator excursion, Emanuel, our driver was EXCELLENT. He grew up in the states and live here now. We were the only passengers so we did a bunch of stuff. He made the day fun. The place was clean, the highways and roads were in such good shape. We were their first cruise ship of the season

I was out on deck when the ship was backed into this small port. They did an amazing job. Very quaint port and we just relaxed around town

My wife and I enjoyed learning about local conservation efforts at an eco center that rescues and rehabilitates crocodiles.

Love this port and would live there if I could. A great excursion is to hire a small boat to take you to the hidden coves and beaches, etc. This time we went to Secrets Resort for a day pass. Take a taxi from port. It should only be about $6, prices are posted in the cab but in pesos so know your exchange rate, our driver to the resort cheated us. The Day Pass rate was 1450 pesos I believe so about $80 US. (You may get a little better deal through "ResortPass" type websites) That gives you full food and drink privileges, use of all the pools, beach chairs, etc. It was really great and we had a wonderful time. Food was not that special though.

Surprisingly clean

First time there. Took an independent tour of the 5 bays. Loved the tour by boat. The water was warm considering you are in the Pacific. We saw sea turtles on the tour. Beautiful coastline and water. Recommend a tour since not much to do where the port is.
