There were many drivers at that port offering tours.  Our driver took us to a hidden beach, and then back to some beautiful sights in town.

We visited Huatulco a few years ago. There was a very nice beach right where you come into port (I can’t remember if it is a pier or tender boats). You can swim in the water, there are beach chairs to rent or use if you purchase food/drinks from the restaurants. Plus you can walk very easily around the town, there is a plaza and a church with a beautiful view. It’s very popular with Canadians who winter there. we enjoyed it.
