We arranged our own tours to see the canyon. We used the second day as a ship day since we were heading back to Kauaii for a few days after the cruise.

We took a Heliocopter ride over the island and it was the highpoint of our trip. Such beauty to experience in the canyon along with the waterfalls, beaches and Caldera. There is a cool mall for shopping and dining.

Awesome! Took two excursions. One to the Waimea Canyon. Due to the weather( rainy) it was limited visibility. The next day, I took a helicopter ride and it was amazing!

Budget/Avis, Sixt, Alamo/Thrifty have shuttles. Street parking available for overnight but fills up fast.
