Kauai is my favorite island. Did not do an excursion as the one we wanted was cancelled. I recommend going north and exploring the Hanalei area. We ate at Dukes, iconic!

Beautiful! We went to a Farm that has a train going around the plantation. Very good.

Rented a car for the day and saw about 90% of the island. Was super amazing. Did a NCL excursion on day 2 (canoeing and waterfall) not much of a waterfall as it was in a small creek.

Went on a ship excursion : Blow Horn and Waimea Canyons. Very fulfilling to enjoy the natural wonders. Driver with good illustrations about the island.

We took the Waimea Canyon excursion and it was worthwhile to see. Not quite as dramatic as advertised, especially if you have seen the Grand Canyon or Copper Canyon in Mexico.

Carnival canceled excursion. Spend a couple hundred dollars Ubering.

Kauai was beautiful, green, and jungle-like. However, I would recommend an excursion at this port as it was difficult to get around with Uber/Lyft because they were limited and traffic gets busy on the main road. There is a small beach near port. We also checked out a beach and the little town of Kapaa which was pretty and less busy, cool shops. Wish we had more time at this port; disappointed with the narrow shore time.
