Awesome port easy walkable access to fancy resorts and beautiful beaches. The mountain jungle scenery is stunning. No need for an excursion.

Kauai was a marvelous place and we enjoyed it. That said the excursion was not only the worst we took on this trip, it was probably the worst we've ever been on. The places we visited were beautiful including the "Grand Canyon" and all the other spots we went. The bus was another story. It kept stalling out and that caused lots of issues. When stalled it would then not restart for a minute and a half or 2 minutes. Once restarted it would be another minute or 2 before it would go into gear. This left us stalled in a busy intersection once with traffic try to avoid us. Another stall out at a left turn signal caused the driver to actually run a red light once he got it restarted. I think the tour company should have sent another bus the first time it stalled. "Uncle Willie", the bus driver, was friendly and personable but the sound system on the bus caused almost everything he said to be unintelligible. At the end of the tour we went to an included luau. Again I was quite disappointed. The food was mediocre at best, the staff rude and the crowd so large (roughly 2500 by my guess) that the show as more or less unwatchable from the distance we were from the stage. I would give the excursion only 2 stars.

Did the Kings, Waterfalls, & Trains excursion. It was ok. Not sure where the Kings part fit in as it wasn’t discussed heavily. Train ride was lame. Being farmers from the Midwest and having heard on previous tours about how much damage the feral pigs were doing to the islands, I find it difficult to understand why they feed feral pigs from the stop on the train. As it was Sunday there wasn’t much open at the farm—no food stand and limited gift store. We took the free shuttle to a shopping area and enjoyed the local stores and restaurants along the beach.

Yes I did an excursion

We walked off the ship and went to the beach which was a ten minute walk. At night we went to the Luau Kalamaku. Opted for the premium seating and it was well worth it. Drinks and show were excellent, but the food was just ok.

We did the inter tube through an old sugar plantation. Was a highlight of our cruise

Beautifly! We went on land tour that we picked up on shore & went to Hanalei and different parts of the island and up to the waterfall. Most of the shore excursionss I felt were abit too expensive

Get a car and enjoy the island. Then get a dinner cruise and see the coast from a different view. Well worth every penny and memories that will last a lifetime

Do not do the "Fern Grotto" tour as the county does not allow hiking in the area due to "repairs". So basically we received a boat ride with some Hawaiian music on board which was nice but not worth the $$$ in my opinion.
