A tendered port, this process does steal away personal time ashore. But getting onto a tender for the ride in to Lahaina was smooth. However, returning to the ship via tender resulted in very long delays and lines; not pleasant.

We did not take any excursions (mainly due to the price), but the port was OK to walk around, expecially after 6 days at sea and having warm weather again. Beautiful scenery to see when arriving and departing.

The town is lovely and very walkable. Tendering to and from the ship was downright painful. Thank goodness we had not booked an excursion - the tendering process was so backed-up we never would have made it.

No excursions, just walked through town and enjoyed a beer and shopping.

Been here a number of times so book an excursion or go to where you really want to go.

The excursion we wanted was sold out but we did walking around at the dock .There are plenty of shops and ice cream shops,too. The shaved ice was yummy.

we did not get off the ship, raining again , and tired after the day before, was tiring having 6 shore days in a row

They were doing road work, so leaving town was not recommended (by rental car). They have alot of great stores all along the main road we enjoyed. Last time we were there we rented a car and drove along the Hana Road. It's gorgeous!! Highly recommend that.
