We took the Big Island Snorkel excursion. Great boat and fantastic lunch! I did not care for how deep they anchored 50-60 foot water. You had to swim quite a ways from the boot to get to the reef where you could see clearly. We did see a large variety of fish, Moorish Idols, Tang Wrasse, Butterfly fish, angel fish, parrotfishtriggers, etc. I also didn't feel safe like the crew didn't have our backs in that deep water. I would not recommend this trip for amateur snorkelers! Lots of good shopping in Kona. Prices are high on some things.

Our favorite port, water was beautiful. We did the local "hop on-hop off" trolley ($20 per person). This is a good way to see the area without breaking the bank.

Did the Kona historic excursion which brought us to a coffee plantation, a national park, and the painted church.

Used tender to get to island- so much to see and do and we created our own tour!

Loved this port. So much to do here, lots of restaurants and stores. “Holy Donuts” has the best freshly made donuts and Malasadas. We did the 2hr. Segway Tour of the port and old airport
