Kahului, Maui Port Reviews

It wax very upsetting to get our excursion cancelled the day before leaving us short notice to pick a new excursion. We chose snorkeling again and our tour guide left us in the wrong area of the pier . We were all there as our intended boat sailed away without about 50 ppl . They scrambled to get us another boat which the crew was fantastic but all in all very disappointing .

We did the mountain bike ride. This was rated activity level-2 (should be level-3). It was a 22-mile downhill ride sharing the road with cars. Although I enjoyed it, it may not be for everyone.

On our first day in Maui we drove to Lahaina to get on the ferry to Lanai. I do think that the ship should offer more excursions to really explore all of what Hawaii has to offer.

We did the "Kahului on your own" excursion, which lasted about 5 hours, which is too much time as we aren't really shoppers. We did do a walking tour on our own of the area.

Completed the Road to Hana via rental car over the 2 days--best way to see it and ALL the recommended stops.

Took the best of Maui tour . Tour was Ok Went to the Lao Valley and Lao Needle A tram ride through a plantation, where they teach you how to open a coconut , see various macadamia fields, sugar cane etc. followed by a lunch and the Maui Ocean Center

This is an industrial port. We used Lyft both days to get to/from the beach in Kihei the first day and to the town of Lahaina on the second day. Both towns had plenty of restaurants, shopping and beautiful views.
