Came in the day before the cruise, visited Pearl Harbor (private, not thru NCL). Took an NCL excursion after the cruise (North side of Oahu with airport drop off), it was OK, but I would like to have more stops along the way, not just a commercial traps.

We did several tours through private parties as they included more features than the ships options did.

Our excursions were canceled. But being a US port passengers were comfortable visiting sites independently.

we did the 3 days before the cruise through NCL. We had a great bus driver for all three days and got to see a lot of the island. We were a little disappointed with the Pear Harbor tour because the tour didn't include a reservation for the Arizona Memorial. We now know that tour groups can't make advance reservations but NCL didn't tell us that in advance. We had to run off the but to get on the stand by list. Luckily we did eventually get called to the boat that takes guests to the memorial.

Went to Pearl Harbor and Palace here with a third party tour as well. Our guide was Ama who is a local so we hot a lot of history about the area. We also did a Luau in Honolulu which was not what we expected but just ok.

Been there big city with nice tours don't miss Pearl Harbor and USS Missouri battleship stay extra days in Waikiki.
