I rented a car to take my party of four around the island to visit sites we had not seen before as well as revisiting sites that we wanted to enjoy again. Having a full day, 8am-11pm, gave us enough time to circumnavigate the island without being rushed to get back to the ship.

Big city with traffic to match.

Port was great friendly people. Loved the sunset!

Went to The Luau, great entertainment and feast.

Traveled by UBER! Cheaper than cabs and available all over the island. Excursion was Paradise Cove Luau. Amazing! We got the delux package! We got nice seating up front, photo, leis. There were several activities to participate in on the beach. The hula dancers and fire dancers were amazing.

Self explored.

Of course, the easy excursions are not the best. They took us to Pearl Harbor, which is great, for 3 hours. Thankfully after that we went to visit more of the Island.

Very grateful to get on an excursion of the Pearl Harbor Memorials, added at the last minute by the ship upon great demands. Went to Battleship Missouri and USS Arizona Memorials from 8:30-3:30. Simply exhausted because of long lines in USS Arizona Memorial. Needs administrative improvement desperately to accommodate the huge numbers of visitors. Even with the tickets with reservation time, the program could not operate smoothly. Only one boat to transport visitors from Center to the Memorial ( a 7- minute ride). We waited for more than one hour after viewing the brief introductory film, while the standby visitors two hours and more, or even fruitless. Not time to visit the Visitor’s Center. All time spent in waiting at the line! Very frustrated.

We took the option of visiting Pearl Harbor combined with the airport transfer. Visiting Pearl Harbor is an emotion experience, but should bedone at least once in your life. The USS Missouri battleship was very interesting, but watch your time if you tour the lower decks - it takes quite a while to get through the maze of the interior.
