We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for 3 days after our cruise to relax prior to the long trip home - and time change. It's a fantastic resort that you never have to leave for entertainment, food, etc. - but it's not cheap and the check in lines are ridiculous. If you are a Hilton Honors member use the Hilton App to check in. That way you won't be one of the hundreds of people standing in line when early check in time comes at 12:30pm.

We absolutely loved our excursion there . The water was beautiful , we snorkeled and dad many turtles and lots of dolphins . It was EPIC . The traffic there was very congested however .

Honolulu and Pearl Harbor were very impressive. Visited the Polynesian Cultural Center and cannot speak highly enough of the final show in the evening.

Honolulu was great because we didn't tender. Guests are allowed to walk on and off the ship at will throughout the day and night!

I was shocked to see how dirty the city of Honolulu was. There is junk and tent cities of homeless people all around the city. I really wasn't expecting to see that in the area of Waikiki Beach. We stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Rainbow Tower. Our room had a great ocean view of the beach and Diamondhead. The room was outdated, the beds were uncomfortable and the elevators were awful when it was crowded. I don't think it was worth what we paid at all. I checked into the room online through Hilton app and still waited in the priority checkin line for over an hour to get room keys! Also outdoors in the heat while waiting.. We took tours through Robert's Hawaii for Circle the Island and Pearl Harbor.

Since the ship didn't leave until 7pm, we were able to drop off our luggage at 945, then walk to see some sights in downtown Honolulu. The walk was several blocks each way, totally doable without luggage. I wish we'd known the buffet stayed open until 330 on embarkation day, we'd have seen more! The city bus takes you to within a block of the cruise terminal, download citimapper app to find out the schedule.

We spent a few days in Waikiki after the cruise. It was Labor Day weekend so not everything was open. I was mostly bummed about the Ice Palace being closed. We didn’t do any shore excursions through the ship since there wasn’t many affordable options.

We spent a week in Oahu before the ship sailed so we had plenty of time to visit.

We rented a car at the airport and toured the island on our own (glad we did).
