Did the Pearl Harbor, City Sightseeing & Waikiki Shopping Excursion. Pearl Harbor was soul-stirring. The only bad thing was the windy conditions prevented us from going out to the Arizona Memorial. We had purchased tickets for that early but were unable to use them. The museum and memorials were beautiful. After that—the tour fell apart. Bus driver took us downtown during the 5:00 traffic. There had to be another less-traveled way to go. Tour guide Joe was awful. Told us about his health problems but neglected to tell us about the PunchBowl military cemetery or any of the beautiful buildings in the downtown area. Had to read the signs outside them. Waikiki was ok but it was getting dark so didn’t get to experience much. And No bathroom breaks. Not a good plan.

I recommend taking a day before your cruise to hang out and enjoy a Waikiki Beach. For us it just helped get us into the mood for a cruise. However, Waikiki beach, and Honolulu are very much like any American city, except for the amazing view of the ocean and the beaches.

Ok, but it was the disembarking port so nothing fancy.

Honolulu is a BIG, busy city. We enjoyed a night before the cruise at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Waikiki Beach. Pool area was really enjoyable and live music and performances in the evening. Waikiki Beach was across the street. Great location

two days here, would love to come back and ee more. day 1 spent wandering around Honolulu, went to Hard Rock Cafe (Will always go to one if i can) day 2 spent on Waikiki Beach - I know the most touristy thing to do, but you have to do what you have to do.

Loved staying at Waikiki Beach before and after the cruise, rented car and explored the Island

We did the Cruisetour (11 day Oahu Explorer) so we had 3 days of excursions prior to the cruise. I'd highly recommend it!

Always something fun to do here, so we just did a couple days of walking around exploring.

We enjoyed our visit to The Polynesian Cultural Centre.
