We found our own tour from the free shuttle people that took us to the Farmer’s market. For $50 per person and went all over a beautiful park, waterfall, zoo, black sand beach and the Mauna Loa candy factory.

Rented a car here as well and went to Hawai’i volcanoes national park. Also drove to rainbow falls and had a picnic out of the trunk of the Jeep. 🍗🥤

No shore excursion but we did drive to Volcano Nat'l Park. Did a lot of walking and saw Mt. Kilauea. Unless you have a lot of stamina, I would suggest not doing this.

Nice, we rented a car but don’t bother about the rental car shuttle. Just go grab an Uber. We went for the hike around the crater in volcano national park. And it was really cool. Too little time in port. We went to the waterfalls..lame.

Interesting little old town. Took the Hoppa on and Hoppa off shuttle. Very reasonable and got to see several things. Rainbow falls, explored the town, saw some beautiful beach areas and also a black sand beach.
