Took a Carnival excursion. It was nice. Didn't give it 5 stars because we didn't get to see the Fogged In Crater Lakes and some passengers felt the excursion should have been canceled. I enjoyed it anyway.

Beautiful scenery but missed some stops due to fog.

Once you’ve been, there isn’t much to see.

Loved it. Did a private excursion and really got a good cultural perspective on the island.

Unfortunately it was pouring rain but we still took a taxi to the mall & then had drinks at a restaurant right at the port. Had a great time

This port made me feel as if I was in PARADISE when I visited seven cities! We rented a car.

Seven Cities excursion was a disaster. It was an afternoon excursion. The same morning excursion encountered the same dense fog that we encountered, making the trip a nothing sandwich. The ship said there was no way to know about the weather, but the guide told us before we left the dock that we wouldn't be able to see because of dense fog. Then the tour stopped at a different site, two passengers fell and one had to be hospitalized. We waited an hour for the ambulance. We asked for credit for another excursion, but the ship refused, saying it had no responsibility for what happened. An advisory in advance would have let us cancel and do a little shopping. We got back too late to do what we wanted to do.

This rating is about me more than the port. I managed to catch "The Cough" that was circulating the ship, so I did not feel well that day. I went onland only to find a pharmacy and purchase some over the counter meds and return to the ship to take them and rest. It appeared to be a quaint little town, very clean and pretty. We had not booked an excursion, so it actually turned out to be the perfect situation for me. I took a few pictures as we searched for a pharmacy and that was it.

The Azores was a treat because we set our expectations that it would get canceled. But we got to go.

Very easy to get around as many picturesque spots were close to where we docked.
