Loved this port! We did a lava cave tour with the kids and it was fascinating. Then a park / garden area. Also enjoyed the flower festival we were lucky to be there during a very famous festival in the Azores! Only wish we had more time in port.

Easy access to town.

We did an excursion to the hot springs and the gardens. It was a fun day of learning about both the hot springs and the gardens and the people and history of both Ponta Delgada and the Azones in general.

Small port but fun to explore. Very steep however. Be sure to get passport stamped it was not emphasized by ncl or port authorities. When we finally left Europe via Iceland they were not impressed with Ponte Delgada said they see it all the time. Luckily we had documentation of the cruise.

Our shore excursion was cancelled. The options offered was not good.

Yes we had a private tour arranged. Unfortunately there was pretty dense fog so guess we will need to visit again someday to see more.

A small island and we saw the highlights. Unfortunately, the weather was not too good which put a damper on our tour.
