Amazing place, but not enough time to see everything. This should have been a 2-3 day port. Amalfi coast is amazing. We did a private tour and had a great experience. Just frustrated that we had to rush back to the ship once again.

No excursion, took ferry to Capri - purchase tickets on adjacent pier. Then took boat tour around the island. Did not go up to top of island as we were concerned of running short on time.

For us, foregoing the typical excursion and running off to Capri for a 3-hour around the Isle private boat was an unforgettable experience. (Bring Dramamine just in case.)

Amalfi is beautiful and having someone like to navigate through the winding coastal road is a treat-- it would be very scary on your own or without someone who isn't well-versed in the road. Pompeii is great too but you only get a small taste of it.
