Joined a ViaTour here with our traveling partners and while the price was right that overall experience was two stars. For two reasons: The van was crammed with one additional passenger than it could possibly hold; which was curious as we started with a tasting in Bordeaux and then divided up and one of the vans had at least two seats open, In the afternoon we visited "Chateau" wineries and it was clear the money we saved got us "B" vs. "A" grade itineraries. I would opt for this self arranged personalized tour provided the Chateaus in the tour are listed at booking so you could research the sites you will be seeing before making the booking.

We enjoyed the night walk upon arrival to get us to bed and on Bordeaux time as well as time on our own here on the last night. The optional excursion to Renaud Calvet's home was a treat, too! Great cremant and pastries to boot.

We loved this port. Did an independent excursion to Saint Emillion, and wine tasting at two different château. Then dinner in town. Great experience.

We really only had half a day here. Waited on the ship after we docked approx. 2 hours for a booked tour thru Oceania. Walking tour of Bordeaux, guide was easy to understand if we were right next to her, Oceania should supply headsets, our group of approx. 29,much to large. It was Saturday and city was very crowded. Thought we would be able to enjoy Bordeaux Sunday morning. Spoke with other passengers and this was there understanding too.
