Vienna is a gorgeous city and it was just so frustrated to only have one day to explore it. The Jewish history of the city is tragic and there were none of the former synagogues to explore. The walking tour should have included a group tour of the one existing synagogue. We were able to take in one additional museum (The Treasury) but will have to check out the Belvedere another time...

The bus tour followed by a walking tour of Vienna were very informative. Definitely, the walking tour gave us a better sense of the city and its beautiful buildings. We decided to stay in the city after the tour so we could explore on our own. Viking did an excellent job with easy instructions on taking the subway back to the ship, which we really appreciated.

Wonderful city, I think everybody should see as many major cities of the world as possible, especially outside one's own country. This one is chock-full of great stuff to see and do; we had been there before, I had just recently visited, and we STILL found more to do on this cruise, with more left for next time. We took the included excursion, plus the Schönbrunn tour. Docking site was fairly convenient to the U-bahn, which we took straight "downtown" (to Innere Stadt) to see more stuff there.

Beautiful city. Easy to get around and very walkable. Highlight was the excursion to the Spanish Riding School that included a carriage ride through the Old City.
