Another cute little town with a great Church to view.

We enjoyed Speyer and the history. Our tour guide was good. Stores were closed due to All Saints day holiday, We did have about an hour to explore the town. We came up to some honor tiles which brought up the Holocaust.

In Heidelberg we visited the Heidelberg Castle and went to a touristy place in which to spend money on touristy stuff. Scenery in Heidelberg is beautiful.

We did not visit Speyer because we did the one-day excursion to Heidelberg which was very good. Had lunch with a university student.

Very picturesque, walkable town. The Romanesque cathedral was my favorite church of the trip. Plentiful cafes on the main street to have a coffee, but beware the service was a bit slow in our experience.
