If I were you, I'd save your money, get off for an hour in port and then have a good ship day. Many reviews say that all of the shops close at midday so be wary of that.

It's a sleepy little town without much other than Normandy near by. Sure they offer Paris as a day trip - but it's an ALL DAY bus ride with only about 5 hours in Paris.

It would have been nice to have more time. The bus ride to and from Paris totaled over 5 hours. Best use of time is to buy a ticket for the tour bus so you can get on and off at tourist sites. Don't miss out on the pastries!
