If I were you, I'd save your money, get off for an hour in port and then have a good ship day. Many reviews say that all of the shops close at midday so be wary of that.

It's a sleepy little town without much other than Normandy near by. Sure they offer Paris as a day trip - but it's an ALL DAY bus ride with only about 5 hours in Paris.
