EVERYTHING is VERY far away! We took the bus ride to Pisa which was fabulous to see! However .. the ride there was 1 hour and the ride back was supposed to be an hour but took 2 due to traffic. Recommend that you do the morning excursions not the afternoon ones due to the traffic coming back to the ship. Not much to do here. Didn't like that our excursion was at 2:30 so we went and walked around a little bit and had to reboard the ship to join up with our excursion. Felt like this port doesn't have as much to do but is beautiful.

Loved this port. Wish that RCCL would make a deal with the Italian train authorities to allow cruisers to pre-purchase train tickets -- the line for the Cinque Terre tickets was over a 1/2 hour wait. Same for Rome (arrange for tickets to be bought from shore excursion desk).

We did an excursion through the locals to go to Pisa. It was a great price, around $30. We enjoyed visiting Pisa just be aware of the people trying to sell you stuff (can be pushy) but it's a great time to do some shopping ☺️

went off ship headed to white church building bought bus tickets from tobacconist return tickets to portovenere beautiful seaside town and not so crowded 4 euro return trip
