Loved la spezia! So much to do, so little time! Although this was the longest time in port for the entire trip, we wished we had more time. We hopped a ferry to Portovenere, and spent the day by the Med.

Not near Florence at all so why is Florence even mentioned.

I wish the staff had given us directions to the train station and told us about the boat to the CInque Terre. More info should be offered about seeing the port on your own. Monterosso is beautiful.

Did the Lucca and Pisa tour. Our guide for this trip simply talked too much. Also, the way both of these cities are arranged, we were dropped off by the bus a long way from both places. Consequently, there was a tremendous amount of walking in the heat. Both cities are very interesting, but the incessant talking and too much walking was a negative

Gorgeous place, put on a shuttle to the end of the port for free.

We did an excursion to Florence and it was worth the trip! As the birthplace of the Renaissance, the architecture and art was beyond my imagination! Seeing the sculptures and paintings of some of the world’s most famous artists was a check on the bucket list!

Again, lovely port. Took an excursion to Florence...absolutely loved it. The stop at the Leather factory was fun, but very expensive there. If you are looking to buy leather, wait til you get into Florence City Centre. There is a market and stores with loads of leather to pick from at very good prices.

The current Excursion bubble that is forced on the cruise industry by Italy is very annoying. We could not shop or even talk to the locals. It was very heart wrenching to walk by the stalls with our money, rather than gifting the locals with some of the abundance.

We usually don't book excursions through the ship due to the high costs, but given the two hour train ride with a five minute connection each way and limited time in Florence for a local tour and no time to visit Pisa, we booked a combo Florence/Pisa tour. Excellent, informative tour guide; a pasta lunch was included at a Florence restaurant, but the food was not good quality and was disappointing. Had an hour of free time in each location.

Walked into town in morning which was lovely and went to Pisa in the afternoon, very enjoyable. We used Pisa coach tours who were right outside the terminal they were efficient and reasonable.
