My husband took the included tour of the Marksburg Castle. He said it was very interesting; however, since it involved walking up a great distance to reach the castle, I begged off.

Another wonderful visit of a superfortress that was too formidable to be attacked. The guide was hilarious and entertaining.

A charming village with lots of nice shops and restaurants. Markesburg Castle was amazing.

Colman trip very interesting

We did not dock near the old town as we had done on previous Viking cruise. Included Historic Koblenz tour was OK but the optional Evening of Music & wine tour was really great. Excellent entertainment for that evening tour.

Very interesting and beautiful

Here is where we did the wine tasting in Moselle. This was worth the time. Close-up to the vineyards and a tasting session of different Reiseling wines. Excellent experience.

The water level in the Rhine was so low, the Viking ship could not navigate. We had a ship swap. Viking arranged a great workaround. We took a bus to another spot and boarded a "day cruiser" for lunch and narrated ride passed the castles in the Loreley straight. Back in the bus for a long 3 hours to board another Viking ship. Due to health reasons we were unable to do Marksburg castle. Many others were able to visit. Not my favorite day.

We were dropped here to begin our journey to the marksburg Castle in Rudesheim. Only walked through this spot.
