Absolutely go to Skara Brae and Skaill House - one of the most amazing archaeological sites in the world! Dress warmly if you go; it was July when we were there, and the wind coming off the water was bitterly cold.

Interesting excursion to "Stonehenge"-like stones, plus time to get some yarn.

We took the excursion to the north side of Orkney Island and it was fascination. The town of Kirkwall is small, but fun to wander through.

We took a great shore excursion to the ancient archeological sites and saw standing stones and an excavated prehistoric village. It was really interesting.

Again another little port town. They bus you to the city center for free which was nice being that they do not allow you to walk out of the port fenced areas. Great place for some small shopping and fish n chips.

My new favorite place as the Orkneys are fantastic. Beautiful. Peaceful. Wonderful. Took an excursions to see the standing stones and the 5000 year old ancient ruins...great!

Loved fascinating Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae. A bit rushed on this excursion but interesting and beautiful scenery.
