Stopped here before the open top hop on hop off buses are good value the port is easy walking distance to the centre of town the fish market is an eye opener

Even thought the weather was a little damp this place is lovely. The kids enjoyed coming down the hill in a wicker basket it's a must. The walk to the cable cars is not to bad so can do it on your own.

Walked from the ship to the fish market then browsed around the town. I find Funchal to be very welcoming for visitors.

Its a beautifull island, recommend the tour that takes you all over the mayor sites to see. Back in town walk it and enjy its people, they are vey friendly.
