New port for me. Beautiful place. Tour: Prunelli Gorges. Motorcoach drives through beautiful mountains, the gorges, lake Tolla, and beautiful little & picturesque villages, as well as some of Ajaccio's waterfront. We had several photo stops and a break at a very nice Honey "farm" (free refreshments and other drinks for purchase). Corsica was Napoleon's birthplace. Sadly did not plan properly and only got to see a statue in a park nearby the cruise terminal. Plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby.

The city is very dirty, garbage bags sitting next to empty garbage cans, garbage strewn about. We only stayed long enough for an hour ride on one of the tour busses. Would not get off the ship again if we ever did this sailing in the future.

We really liked Ajaccio. It was easy to do this on our own. After two days in Rome, it was nice to just stroll around this very picturesque town.

We did not go to this port due to bad weather. We did not get a refund of the port fees and excursion costs.
