Although we took a town tour it was somewhat boring.

Just did the local port tourist walk, did not make the trip all the way into Berlin.

Terrific little town. We walked around on our own and also did an excursion to Rostock which we enjoyed very much. Also a train ride to a seaside resort town - very interesting and fun.

If I could give more stars I would. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip. We took a Viator excursion which was quite a bit cheaper than the one offered by NCL. We had an absolutely AMAZING guide! Berlin is NOT to be missed!!

Did a tour of the city.

In order to get to Berlin, you must use some sort of paid transportation. It is 2 hours away from the port.

We didn’t go into the Berlin on the train. We decided to visit the countryside and see the local area. We did go on an excursion and enjoyed it very much. They took us to a 12th century church that is much as it was back then. The oldest church (maybe in the world?) that hasn’t been restored. Then we took a nice old fashioned steam train ride through the countryside and through a small town. I enjoyed seeing a bit of their lifestyle. Right next to where our ship was docked was an amusement park that had a Ferris wheel. We haven’t been on a Ferris wheel in decades, so we ended our day riding the Ferris wheel. It was a nice ending to a relaxing day. We enjoyed this simple day

Excellent starting point. Easy walk to actual port from train station or lodging in town. Excellent restaurants, small friendly shops. All within easy walking distance.

We walked around the town and found the beach where we walked along the beach. It was the town with a strong strawberry theme.

This was not a very well thought out tour. Three hours plus there and back was long but the six hours in Berlin were a slog. We did enjoy seeing some very interesting historical areas (although including the museum at the Berlin Wall would have been nice) but seem to then drive around a lot looking at neighborhoods to use up time. It was not our favorite day of an otherwise great trip, sad since it was our last day.
