Berlin trip worthwhile but heard that those who only visited Rostock (much nearer by) had a good time as well.

Great informative tour. Only downside is the 2 hour train ride to the city from the port.

The port of Warnemünde in Germany is the stopover that allows you to visit Berlin. You can also decide to stay near the port and visit Rostock. Or, simply visit Warnemunde which is 1 km from the port. Again, opted for an excursion. Take the train, journey of 2h30 to get to Berlin. We visit the city by ourselves. Great opportunity to take several photos and also to immerse yourself in history... We enjoyed this excursion very much, despite the fatigue of having walked for a long time...

Took our own fast train to Berlin and about 12 of us almost missed the ship due to messed up train traffic. We later found out that the Princess excursion to Berlin is waht messed up the train traffic and luckily that tour group was behind us and later arriving to the ship than we were. A nice German lawyer named Wilhelm called the port and arranged two vans for us all to get back before the ship sailed.

If you're looking to see Berlin it is a 2.5 hour ride by train to the city. This was a disappointment to me as I didn't want to spend 5 hours on a train for 4 hours in the city. That being said we took a 90 min bus ride to the beautiful sea side town of Rostock.

Our excursion required a 2 and a half hour train ride both ways. the return train was delayed, making for a very long day. Our tour guide for this excursion was the best of all our excursions.

Went on a 12 hour bus excursion booked online. Bus to Berlin was about 2 1/2 hour ride each way. Great tour with a great guide.
