This was our favorite spot. You can walk around the old town and see old ruins and beautiful homes. Walk up the stairs by the big church for the most amazing view. Check out the wall on the far side too.

This was the biggest surprise for the trip. Visby was stunningly beautiful. Wish we could have spent more time here.

The walk to the city was a must. Well marked trail. Beautiful city clean and friendly.

I realize that the city needs tourists dollars, but our tour did not offer anything interesting and all tours arrived at the tender at the same time - poor planning - should have been in the port longer for all the tours . One bathroom with 2 stalls available for all the tour busses - poor planning on Visby's side

I had never heard of Visby and it was only after I booked the excursion that I realised it was the island of Gotland. We had a walking tour thru the old town which was very good.

Stunning town, would definitely come back

Took audio tour from GetYourGuide, Witch Trials. Many ruins and beautiful viewpoints as you climb to the upper town. Long walk from ship to town if you choose not to take the complimentary shuttle. Tried a local beer and found candy shop across the street where they were making candy canes. One of my favorite ports of call.

We walked into the old city.... Very pleasant. Souvenirs expensive though.

My favourite place as there is a stone castle wall which is surrounding the town. There were gardens which were nice to look around. there were also beehives and vegetables growing.

Again we enjoyed touring the old city, but our tour guide seemed to feel like she knew better than the excursion planners about what we should see, so we missed gallows, and didn't have the allotted time at the old church viewing point.
