Maybe I am underrating because of weather. Day time was very windy and rainy with lots of cloud cover and fog. We were going to go up the fjellheisen (cable car) but gave up because of the weather. Views are supposed to be spectacular again bummed that we missed it. Took shuttle and walked around town. Not much going on, many tourist shops. Polar museum closed. We got soaked. We were in port until 23:59, so several other couples that we met arraigned an excursion to play with huskies and view northern lights away from city lights. (get your guide: Northern lights and Husky Experience). Great trip we played with the dogs and saw the lights, back in plenty of time to board. Princess had no evening excursions to view lights.

Weather was an issue but the excursions were too long for the activities planned. Also very icy, probably should have rethought the excursions here.

We stayed in Tromso after the cruise and was so happy we did. Excursions were so expensive.

Taking the cable car is a must for an incredible view. It was too windy for us and closed. Next best was the Roof Top bar in the Clarion hotel. Friendly folk and an easy walk around town. Check out the Polar museum and enjoy the local cruisine.

Ship arrived late at night and we had to disembark at 315 AM to catch the air plane that NCL arranged. No time to see anything! put our luggage out late at night, and picked it up on the pier, damaged! at 3 AM.

Walked from the pier to the botanical garden. Tromso is able the Arctic Circle so it must be very difficult to grow flowers but they had many different varieties. Took a tour in the afternoon the the Arctic Cathedral and took a tram up for some breathtaking views of the City. Hiked a little at the top.

We went to the Troll Museum (fun for all ages); Magic Ice Bar close to the Troll; Hard Rock Cafe, took the Hop on Train, and ate lunch at MENY where the little train starts. There is a church there too. Was a little hard to find the train. It drizzled a little.

The ship was berthed in an industrial port area and passengers needed to use a shuttle bus or excursion to visit the city. The city has an interesting history and was a mix of modern and 19th century buildings which were all well-maintained. We took a walking tour of the city and visited the Mack Brewery and had a great time. Our guide really knew her business.
