The cruise was called Chasing the Northern Lights. That was my reason for going on the cruise. We went out of town on a bus and stood outside for four hours not seeingthe Northern Lights. When I wanted to stay and take a later bus I was force ob the earlier one. Pleaple booking a private tour in town for a forth of the price got to see them on their six hour tour. Viking needs to do better reseach.

Don't dock for such a long day here on a Sunday as it's shut.

We didn’t do an excursion as you can walk into town and visit the aquarium easily. We also decided to walk over the bridge to the cathedral and the wind was howling but worth it. Beer was excellent too

Trump so it was our first stop north of the Arctic Circle. I did not see any of the town because my excursion took most of the day.

Arrived early morning. Took the free shuttle into town. Pleasant to walk around. If you like a walk cross the bridge (it’s a long one) and then visit the church on the other side. In the evening we went on a northern lights tour but due to bad weather we had limited success. It was still good fun.
