We stayed four nights in Stockholm. We found the city to be extremely beautiful, very clean and safe. We highly recommend Sheraton Stockholm hotel located close to the central station. It was a very convenient location with walking distance to shopping, restaurants, transportation and tourist’s attractions. The Hop-on-hop-off bus stop was outside our hotel and we took advantage of that one day. Few of the high points were a tour of Vasa museum, a visit to the Old Town section, strolling through a shopping promenade and admiring European architecture. We found the city to be very quiet. Majority of people spoke English and there no problems with communication. There were numerous sidewalk cafes and restaurants and the food was delightful.

Stockholm is a gorgeous city. Our exploration tour included the town hall, royal palace, old town walk, and Vasa Museum. It was a rerun for us but an enjoyable one.

We got the shuttle bus into town and did mostly the old town. Found the oldest public toilet, the statue of the small boy, the kings garden (not too kingly) and lots of walking. Lots to see and we did manage to also find the museum of the wooden horse which did take real money. We also found a christmas shop which also took real money.

Two days in Stockholm. Could have spent more time here. So much to see. Hoponhopoff bus or shuttle recommended although about 1 mile to walk through old town. I may try it next visit. Freetour guide talked more about South Africa where she was from that Stockholm. Tour was nice but not informative. City has lots to offer. We did hoponhopoff but to Viking museum.
