There used to be a public bus service which you could catch near the cruise terminal entrance that dropped you on the main road opposite the museum. The journey was about 30 minutes. The fare was reasonable but we last visited pre Covid so things may have changed.

we took P&O excursion bus to the Museum.It gets very busy inside. The tour took us and pointed out landmarks along the way Work was being carried out as the museum was building a hotel great time there singing with the band on stage.
