We organized our own tours to the Museums and the sculpture park. I enjoyed not being on a bus with sick people. We did go on a walking tour and boat with Regent. I thought the walking tour was okay but the boat was crowded and you had to look through a railing that was too high to see. Also, we could not see the tour guide who was pointing out things but you could not tell where to look.

Oslo is the capital of Norway. We opted for a city tour with Hop-On, Hop-Off. We made 2 stops which must absolutely see! National Opera House: The roof of the building is designed so that you can walk on it. This was a bonus stop. And one of our favorite stops. We realized too late how beautiful this city is and took a late hop-on hop-off bus that starts immediately outside the ship. We could have spend a full day in the city with all their beautiful parks.

Large city - we did a free walking tour and went to the Sculpture park by taking the above ground train to the site and back. It was gorgeous!

Decided to explore on our own as the ship was docked right at the fortress. Downloaded an app that made us explore the town.

We did the Hop On Hop Off bus, which is a good way to see the city. Stopped at outdoor sculpture garden, culture history museum, and Fram Arctic Exploration museum, all worth seeing.

Lovely clean city. Loved that the main part of the city restricted private car traffic, so it appeared to be very quiet and peaceful without having to worry about crossing the streets. Excursions taken were private.
