Atlantic Ocean Road was disappointingly average. We've seen a more impressive coastline in Northern California, Ogunquit Maine, Essex CT, small towns in Cape Cod, Outer Banks, NC and many more. Not worth the cost of the excursion.

Our excursion - hiking the Varden Path, was a waste of time as the guide had only arrived in Molde the week before and knew nothing about the area, flora or fauna. (He was from Michigan). We didn't realize ahead of time that we could have walked from the ship to the trail.

Didn't see much of the town but we did go on the MSC expedition to the Bud / Ergan fortress which dates from WW2. This was expensive but I love stuff like that so I couldn't help myself. The coach trip takes you through some interesting places and the tour guide gives you a good introduction to Norway and why it is the great place it is. I like Norwegians.

Did the 8 hr cable car and Norway experience. Trip was fantastic, but tour guide was terrible. She did not inform us of changes when she received them. Our lunch was moved from 12 to 2, but she didn’t tell us until 1:30

No shore excursion booked, but there was a really interesting living history museum with interpreters that we visited up above the town with great views and walking back into the town. Molde itself was very pretty and quite compact so it was an easy town to walk around.
