So much to see and do. We took the double decker bus all around the city and then visited The Book of Kells, Jamisons, Guiness, Christchurch. We tried to visit the jail but it was all booked. We did not take a Windstar excursion.

We stayed in Dublin for two nights in the Conrad Dublin Hotel before heading home. We again purchased tickets on the Hop On Hop Off bus so we could get a real feel for the area before we started to walk around. We spent our first day doing serious sightseeing and went to the Greyhound Races in the evening (we have two greyhounds ourselves). The second day, we decided to do something a little different and spent much of the day at the Dublin Zoo and walking around the park it is in the middle of. We could have spent a week there easily seeing all the sights but this was a great first trip.

Trinity College and the Book of Kells were fascinating. I loved the library. Christ Church and Trinity Cathedral were beautiful.

We walked around Dublin ourselves. We researched it before the cruise and had plotted a nice stroll around the city. We also had an afternoon tea at the Waterbury hotel. Brilliant

Loved Dublin especially the tours we took to Guinness, Cliffs of Morh, Gallway and the food walking tour. Also visited many shops and out of the way pubs.

If your looking for a private tour while in Dublin, I have the best guy to recommend. We were on a land tour and at the end of our tour we booked a 1 day private tour. He was totally awesome. Tell him what you would like to see and do and he will work something up for you. Of course he has Tours you can select from too. We don’t do cruise tours but explore on our own. We enjoyed every city we visited. Celebrity doesn’t give you a whole lot of information unless you sign up for their tours, so studying up on all of the ports you plan to visit will give you great rewards.
